Ingredients

  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1 cup milk
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 3 large egg yolks
  • 2 teaspoons unflavored gelatin
  • 1/4 cup cold water
  • 1 pint mixed berries (strawberries, blueberries, raspberries)

Instructions

  1. In a saucepan, combine milk, sugar, and vanilla. Heat until sugar dissolves.
  2. In a bowl, whisk egg yolks and slowly add the warm milk mixture.
  3. Heat gently until thickened. Do not boil.
  4. Dissolve gelatin in cold water and stir into the cream mixture.
  5. Fold in whipped cream and pour into molds. Chill until set.
  6. Serve topped with mixed berries.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, add lemon zest to the cream mixture.
  • Ensure berries are washed and sliced if necessary before serving.
