  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/3 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup toffee bits

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a muffin tin with cupcake liners.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, beat the granulated sugar, brown sugar, and egg until well combined.
  4. Add the milk, vegetable oil, and vanilla extract to the sugar mixture and mix well.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  6. Fold in the chocolate chips and toffee bits.
  7. Scoop the batter into the prepared muffin tin, filling each cup about 2/3 full.
  8. Bake for 18-20 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  9. Allow to cool in the pan for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
