  • 8 ounces fettuccine pasta
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 4 slices turkey bacon, chopped
  • 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon thyme
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Cook the fettuccine pasta according to package instructions.
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat and add the chopped turkey bacon. Cook until crispy.
  3. Add the shrimp to the skillet and cook until pink.
  4. Add the bell pepper, onion, and garlic; sauté until softened.
  5. Stir in the paprika and thyme, then add the heavy cream and chicken broth. Bring to a simmer.
  6. Mix in the grated Parmesan cheese until melted and creamy.
  7. Combine the cooked pasta with the sauce, season with salt and pepper, and serve hot.

Notes

  • For a spicier dish, add red pepper flakes to the sauce.
  • This dish can also be made with chicken instead of shrimp.
