- 2 cups heavy cream
- 1 cup eggnog
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1 packet gelatin
- 1/4 cup water
- 1 cup fresh cranberries
- 1/4 cup orange juice
- 1/4 cup spiced rum
- 1/2 cup sugar (for cranberry sauce)
- In a saucepan, combine the heavy cream, eggnog, sugar, and vanilla extract, and heat over medium heat.
- In a small bowl, dissolve gelatin in water and let it sit for 5 minutes.
- Once the cream mixture is warm, remove from heat and stir in the gelatin until fully dissolved.
- Pour the mixture into serving glasses and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or until set.
- For the cranberry sauce, combine fresh cranberries, orange juice, and sugar in a saucepan and simmer until the cranberries burst.
- Stir in spiced rum and cook for another few minutes. Let it cool.
- Once panna cotta is set, top with spiked cranberry sauce before serving.
Notes
- For a firmer panna cotta, use an additional packet of gelatin.
- Feel free to replace spiced rum with bourbon if preferred.
