  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup bittersweet chocolate, melted

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 325°F (160°C).
  2. In a saucepan, combine the milk, heavy cream, and sugar. Heat until the sugar dissolves.
  3. In a bowl, whisk together the eggs, melted chocolate, vanilla, and salt.
  4. Gradually add the warm milk mixture to the egg mixture, stirring constantly.
  5. Pour the mixture into a flan mold or individual ramekins.
  6. Place the molds in a larger baking dish and fill the dish with hot water until it comes halfway up the sides of the molds.
  7. Bake for about 40-45 minutes, or until the flan is set.
