Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine warm water and yeast. Let it sit until frothy.
  2. Add in salt and sugar, stirring well.
  3. Gradually mix in flour until a dough forms.
  4. Knead the dough for about 5 minutes until smooth.
  5. Let the dough rise in a warm place until doubled in size.
  6. Preheat oven to 450°F (232°C).
  7. Shape dough into pretzels and dip in a baking soda solution.
  8. Place on a baking sheet, brush with beaten egg, and sprinkle with salt.
  9. Bake for 10-12 minutes until golden brown.
