  • 1/2 cup whole wheat flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup cold butter, cubed
  • 1/4 cup ice water
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 cup cooked turkey bacon, chopped
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (your choice)
  • 1 tablespoon milk

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine flours and salt. Cut in butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  2. Stir in ice water until dough forms a ball. Wrap and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
  3. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  4. In a skillet, scramble the eggs until fully cooked. Add in turkey bacon and stir well.
  5. Roll out the dough on a floured surface and cut into rectangles.
  6. Place the egg and bacon mixture on one half of each rectangle and sprinkle cheese on top.
  7. Fold the other half over and seal the edges with a fork.
  8. Brush the tops with milk and bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
  9. Let cool for a few minutes before serving.
