- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup whole wheat flour
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 cup cold butter, cubed
- 1/4 cup ice water
- 4 large eggs
- 1 cup cooked turkey bacon, chopped
- 1 cup shredded cheese (your choice)
- 1 tablespoon milk
- In a large bowl, combine flours and salt. Cut in butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
- Stir in ice water until dough forms a ball. Wrap and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- In a skillet, scramble the eggs until fully cooked. Add in turkey bacon and stir well.
- Roll out the dough on a floured surface and cut into rectangles.
- Place the egg and bacon mixture on one half of each rectangle and sprinkle cheese on top.
- Fold the other half over and seal the edges with a fork.
- Brush the tops with milk and bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
- Let cool for a few minutes before serving.
