Korean Spinach Side Dish (Sigeumchi Namul)

A simple and delicious Korean side dish made with spinach, perfect for any meal.

Ingredients

  • 1 bunch fresh spinach
  • 2 tablespoons sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon minced garlic
  • 1 teaspoon sesame seeds
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Bring a pot of water to a boil and blanch the spinach for about 30 seconds.
  2. Drain the spinach and rinse it under cold water. Squeeze out excess water.
  3. In a bowl, combine sesame oil, soy sauce, minced garlic, and salt.
  4. Add the spinach to the bowl and mix well.
  5. Sprinkle sesame seeds on top and toss to combine.
  6. Serve as a side dish.

Notes

  • For a nutty flavor, toast the sesame seeds before adding them to the dish.
  • This dish can be served warm or cold.
