  • 4 pieces chicken thighs
  • 1 cup long-grain rice
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon turmeric
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 cup frozen peas
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium heat.
  2. Add the chopped onion and garlic; sauté until onion is translucent.
  3. Season chicken thighs with paprika, turmeric, black pepper, and salt, then add to the pot.
  4. Brown the chicken on both sides, about 5 minutes each.
  5. Stir in the rice, then add chicken broth and bring to a boil.
  6. Reduce heat, cover the pot, and simmer for about 20 minutes or until rice is cooked.
  7. Stir in the frozen peas and cook for an additional 5 minutes.
  8. Remove from heat and let it rest for 5 minutes before serving.
