  • 4 slices rye bread
  • 4 slices cheddar cheese
  • 1 small onion, sliced
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon ketchup
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce

Instructions

  1. In a skillet, melt 1 tablespoon of butter over medium heat and cook the onions until caramelized.
  2. In another bowl, mix mayonnaise, ketchup, and Worcestershire sauce to create the secret sauce.
  3. Form the ground beef into patties, season with salt and pepper, and grill until cooked to your liking.
  4. In the same skillet, place a slice of rye bread, add a patty, top with onions, a slice of cheese, and another slice of rye bread on top.
  5. Cook until the bread is golden brown on both sides and the cheese is melted.
