  • 1 cup grits
  • 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 tablespoon Cajun seasoning
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 bell pepper, diced
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

Instructions

  1. In a pot, bring the chicken broth to a boil and add the grits. Cook according to package instructions.
  2. In a skillet, melt butter over medium heat and sauté onion, bell pepper, and garlic until soft.
  3. Add the shrimp and Cajun seasoning to the skillet, cooking until shrimp are pink.
  4. Stir in heavy cream and mix well.
  5. Once the grits are cooked, serve them topped with the Cajun shrimp mix and the red snapper fillets.
