  • 1 pound large mushrooms
  • 1 pound Italian sausage
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Clean the mushrooms and remove the stems.
  3. In a pan, cook the Italian sausage over medium heat until browned. Drain excess fat.
  4. Add breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, parsley, garlic, beaten egg, salt, and pepper to the sausage. Mix well.
  5. Stuff each mushroom cap with the sausage mixture.
  6. Place the stuffed mushrooms on a baking sheet and bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
