- 2 pounds beef chuck roast
- 1 onion, sliced
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup beef broth
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 6 hoagie rolls
- 1 cup shredded provolone cheese
- Place the beef chuck roast in the slow cooker.
- Add onion and garlic on top of the beef.
- In a bowl, mix beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, thyme, salt, and pepper. Pour over the meat.
- Cover and cook on low for 8 hours or until tender.
- Remove the beef, shred it, and return to the slow cooker to soak in the juices.
- Serve beef in hoagie rolls topped with provolone cheese.
- Optional: Toast the rolls before serving.
