Tiramisu Cupcakes

These Tiramisu Cupcakes are a delightful twist on the classic Italian dessert, combining rich coffee flavors with fluffy cake.

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup cocoa powder
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup strong brewed coffee, cooled
  • 1 cup mascarpone cheese
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tbsp coffee liqueur

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a cupcake pan with liners.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, cream the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Add the eggs one at a time, then mix in vanilla extract and cooled coffee.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture until just combined.
  6. Fill the cupcake liners 2/3 of the way full and bake for 18-20 minutes.
  7. Let the cupcakes cool completely before frosting.
  8. To make the frosting, whip mascarpone and heavy cream together until smooth, then mix in coffee liqueur.
  9. Frost the cooled cupcakes and enjoy!

Notes

  • Make sure your coffee is cooled before adding it to the batter.
  • You can replace coffee liqueur with more brewed coffee for a non-alcoholic version.
