  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup cornstarch
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 5 large egg yolks
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • Powdered sugar for dusting

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Roll out the puff pastry and cut into desired shapes.
  3. Bake the pastry until golden brown, about 15 minutes.
  4. In a saucepan, combine milk, cream, sugar, cornstarch, and salt. Heat until mixture thickens.
  5. Remove from heat and whisk in vanilla and yolks.
  6. Return to heat briefly to set the yolks.
