  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup chopped nuts (walnuts or pecans)
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup additional powdered sugar for rolling

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, cream together the butter and 1/2 cup powdered sugar until smooth.
  3. Add the vanilla extract and mix well.
  4. Gradually blend in the flour, chopped nuts, and salt.
  5. Roll the dough into 1-inch balls and place them on a baking sheet.
  6. Bake for 10-12 minutes until lightly golden. Remove from the oven.
  7. While still warm, roll the cookies in additional powdered sugar.
  8. Allow to cool on a wire rack.

Notes

  • For a richer flavor, toast the nuts before adding them to the dough.
  • These cookies can be stored in an airtight container for up to a week.
