Cioppino Seafood Stew

This easy cioppino seafood stew is perfect for cozy nights at home, combining the flavors of the sea in a comforting bowl.

  • 1 pound clams
  • 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 pound fish fillets, cut into chunks
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 bell pepper, diced
  • 1 can (28 ounces) crushed tomatoes
  • 2 cups fish stock
  • 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, heat olive oil over medium heat.
  2. Add the onion, garlic, and bell pepper, cooking until the onions are translucent.
  3. Stir in the crushed tomatoes, fish stock, red pepper flakes, oregano, salt, and pepper.
  4. Bring the mixture to a simmer, then add the mussels and clams.
  5. Cover and cook for about 5 minutes.
  6. Add the shrimp and fish, stir gently, and cover again for another 5-7 minutes until the seafood is cooked through.
  7. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.

Notes

  • Serve with crusty bread for dipping.
  • Adjust the spice level to your preference by varying the red pepper flakes.
