- 1 pound ground beef
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1 egg
- 2 teaspoons ground cumin
- 2 teaspoons ground coriander
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 can (14 oz) diced tomatoes
- 1/2 cup chicken broth
- 1/4 cup raisins
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
- In a large bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg, cumin, coriander, cinnamon, salt, and pepper. Mix well and form into meatballs.
- Heat olive oil in a tagine or large skillet over medium heat. Add onion and garlic, sautéing until soft.
- Add diced tomatoes, chicken broth, raisins, and meatballs to the skillet. Bring to a simmer.
- Cover and cook for 25-30 minutes or until meatballs are cooked through.
- Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
